Lars Heide, who recently joined i3net as i3net manager.

Lars will be managing i3net’s internal relations. He will be the i3net representative on the Internal Communications Task Group, the i3net liaison to the Annual Conference and the Spring Days, and the CG (Coordinating Group) meeting secretary.

Lars has a B.Sc. in Mathematics, an M.A. in History, and a Ph.D. in History of Technology. He has experience in project management, administration, teaching, and research. Former employment includes managing the development of computer-aided education for a group of Danish secondary schools. He has published a number of studies on the History of Computing in Europe and the United States.

Jens Kr. Damsgaard, the new i3net Business Development Manager.

Jens will manage relations between the i3 community and industrial partners, focusing on exploitation and technology transfer. He will be in charge of the new proactive i3 initiative, which promotes contact between the network and potential new research members, end-user organisations and business development partners from European industry. He is currently the i3net representative on the Entrepreneurial Task Group and the External Communication Task Group.

Jens has an M.Sc. in economics. Before joining i3net he held positions as project manager at a technical college, head of a Euro Info Centre and, from 1997 onwards, as representative of a number of Danish R&D companies in Brussels. He has desig-ned and managed a number of HRD and business-to-business projects, both in Europe and in Asia.
