International IT conference in Sweden The theme of this year's i3 Annual Conference 13-15 September is BUILDING TOMORROW TODAY The conference takes place in the popular Elmia Conference Centre in Joenkoeping situated at the southern end of Lake Vaettern. The conference theme is how to best develop computing for communities of people for tomorrow¹s world. More specifically, the purpose of the conference is to integrate key concepts and perspectives from the design of interactive and collaborative systems and research into systems which support communication and collaboration among communities. Local organizer is Joenkoeping University (www.hj.se/hlk/), and around 200 participants are expected, mainly IT researchers from all over Europe.
i3net - The European Network for Intelligent Information Interfaces was created in 1996 in order to take a human-centred approach to the exploration of new, visionary interactive systems for people in their everyday activities.
The conference is structured around the following topics: The conference programme features thematic sessions (with submitted and invited contributions), interactive performances, workshops, invited plenary talks and an exhibition, garnished with social events.
