On 27 June a letter was received from the European Commission with the news that the i3 initiative had been chosen as a potential exhibitor at the European Information Technology Conference EITC'97 to be held in Brussels on 24-26 November 1997.
By 9 July, the deadline for the return of paperwork, all of the thirteen i3 research projects had prepared and submitted checklist forms describing each of their exhibit entries for the EITC Selection Committee. An exhibit entry for an i3net stand was also submitted.
On 22 July a positive response was received from the Selection Committee. Out of the thirteen project entries, a total of seven have been invited to exhibit on individual stands: AMUSEMENT, COMRIS, eRENA, eSCAPE, HIPS, MLOUNGE and POPULATE. Also approved was the entry for the i3net stand, which will serve to present an overall view of i3. Therefore, i3 will have a strong presence in the exhibition in the Brussels Congress Centre.
Publicity material, including i3 project card, map, leaflets and the first issue of the i3magazine, is available for you to pick up at the EITC´97 stand and can also be ordered by writing to coordinator@i3net.org.
