As of 1998, the annual European IT Conference (EITC) moves out of Brussels to Vienna and changes its name to the Information Societies Technologies Conference (ISTEC). The task group for organising i3's presence at ISTEC was established at the February 1998 i3net CG meeting in Milan. Its members are Giorgio De Michelis, University of Milano, Italy, and Jakub Wejchert, Esprit LTR. Information on progress is on the members only pages.
