The Foundation Task Group (FTG) started its work in December 1996 and terminated its activities by June 1997. The FTG had the mission of investigating how and where to form an i3net legal entity which will pursue the commercial activities of i3net.
The FTG involved Meru Research, The Netherlands (Convenor: Raghu Kolli) and the i3net Coordinator.
The conclusion arrived at was to postpone the decision on a foundation.
